Happy Birthday Israel! GOD SAYS IT!This month Israelis celebrate one of the greatest fulfillments of prophecy in world history—the rebirth of the nation of Israel in 1948, after 2,000 years of exile.Isaiah 66Who has ever seen anything as strange as this?Who ever heard of such a thing?Has a nation ever been born in a single day?Has a country ever come forth in a mere moment?But by the time Jerusalem’s birth pains begin,her children will be born.When you join us in Israel, we will teach on this passage at Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls where discovered in 1947… the scrolls are a birthday present from God to Israel and a witness to the world.GOD DOES IT!Only God could have kept the Jewish people together without a nation for so long, and then, at the appointed time, draw the Jewish people back to our own land… as He promised.Ezekiel 36:24 For I will gather you up from all the nations and bring you home again to your land.It is a miracle, and I often cite this miracle when speaking to church groups, i.e., if God can do this on a global level, He can certainly help you with your situation!Israel is thriving as a nation, providing democracy and opportunities to all it citizens, both Jews and Arabs. Israel’s Arab population of over one million has more freedom than any other Arabs in the Middle East.Exodus 23:9 “Also you shall not oppress a stranger, for you know the heart of a stranger, because you were strangers in the land of Egypt.DO WE BELIEVE IT?The world needs to believe what the Lord is doing according to His plan. America has traditionally been a supporter of the Jewish people and the state of Israel. But beliefs are shifting…It is so shocking to hear US congress members spouting Anti-Semitic rhetoric, such as Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich):“There’s always kind of a calming feeling, I tell folks, when I think of the Holocaust, and the tragedy of the Holocaust, and the fact that it was my ancestors — Palestinians — who lost their land and some lost their lives, their livelihood, their human dignity, their existence in many ways, have been wiped out… And, just all of it was in the name of trying to create a safe haven for Jews, post-the Holocaust, post-the tragedy and the horrific persecution of Jews across the world at that time. And, I love the fact that it was my ancestors that provided that, right, in many ways, but they did it in a way that took their human dignity away and it was forced on them.”The Congresswoman is CALMED by the murder, rape, and grotesque scientific experiments, confiscation of property and displacement of millions of people… as long as the victims are Jews. This is a falsehood. The Land was not theirs to give. It was under Ottoman rule for 400 years until 1917, and then under the British Mandate until Israel’s independence. The British left Israel on May 14, 1948 and Israel declared independence on the same day.The Arab ancestors she lauds did not provide a “safe haven” for Jews they declared war on Israel, seeking to murder the Jews.Please note: many Arabs living in the region did not want warand that is true today… see the clip below.In 1948, any Jewish or Arab resident who lived in the region, was called a “Palestinian”. The original name of the Jerusalem Post (a Jewish newspaper), was “The Palestine Post”. There was no Arab government of Palestine or State of Palestine.The Arab nations called for them to evacuate, so they could wipe Israel off the map. Roughly 800,000 of her “Palestinian” ancestors fled, hoping for an Islamic massacre, which would yield Israeli land and homes to them. Israel’s miraculous victory created the Arab refugee crisis. Ironically, if the Arabs had stayed within Israel, they would have joined the 600,000 Arabs who did not leave and enjoy full citizenship in the “Start-Up Nation”, the ONLY democracy in the neighborhood.Tlaib spreads a false narrative that Jews just showed up in “Palestine” after the Holocaust because the Arabs were going to help them establish a “safe haven.”How then can we explain relationship between Adolf Hitler and Haj Amin Al Husseini, the Grand Mufti (Islamic leader) of Jerusalem?As pictured below, they saw eye to eye on the need to eliminate the Jews. One tried on the European continent, the other one in the Middle East.Even Great Britain worked tirelessly throughout World War II, (with Rep. Tlaib’s Arab ancestors) to keep European Jews from immigrating to Israel, including the use of the British Navy to prevent European Jews from landing in Israel.Ha Eretz (The Land) became a safe haven for Jews after the rebirth of  Israel.If they had been willing to sign a peace treaty with Israel in 1948, the Arabs of this region would be living in prosperity today, with their own country. Only, it would not have been called Palestine, as at the time, the word had no connection whatsoever to any Arab ethnicity.My Arab cousins have not had it easy, primarily due to their corrupt leadership—not Israel. A major example is Gaza itself. When Israel pulled out in 2005 they left gardens, greenhouses and a thriving economy. Along with the fantastic beaches, Gaza could be a paradise of industry, technology, tourism and prosperity. But the Arab residents destroyed the infrastructure and eventually elected Hamas. This turned Gaza into an armed camp of terror activity.How sad for the Arab people.Over the years we have worked very closely with our Arab cousins, many of them followers of Yeshua – to bring the message of love and peace through Messiah to the region.Occasionally I hear of a new voice for reason. Imagine my surprise when I found this Muslim man, Mudar Zahran debating in Oxford, England:Israel’s desire has always been to live in peace.
